NEW YORK, NY, May 7, 2018 – The National Association of Scholars (NAS), together with Classic Learning Test (CLT), congratulate the 44 high school sophomores with the top results in the CLT-10 in 2018. The CLT-10 is an alternative to the PSAT for high school sophomores, and was designed to be a more accurate and rigorous measure of academic formation, accomplishment, and potential than the PSAT. Winners of the award will receive a certificate and letter of recognition, as well as a $2,500 scholarship should they enroll in a college or university that accepts the CLT as an admissions exam.
“The CLT-10 offers needed competition to the PSAT, and it tests knowledge and potential without using politically biased content,” said NAS executive director Ashley Thorne. “The questions in the reading sections are based on texts of enduring importance that are central to classical education.”
This is the second year that the CLT-10 has been offered to high school sophomores.
Thorne said, “The National Association of Scholars is pleased to recognize these students and their outstanding achievement.”
