Video: NAS President Peter Wood on the Eric Metaxas Show

National Association of Scholars

Tune in as NAS President Peter Wood discusses his new book Wrath: America Enraged with nationally syndicated radio host Eric Metaxas. Eric and Peter talk about why Americans are so angry and how to redirect righteous anger toward positive ends. In Peter's words, "Nothing less than wrath is going to help us recover our genuine constitutional independence."

Peter offers the recent uprisings spearheaded by parents in many school districts as an example of the positive uses of anger: "Even before the book came out, we were seeing parents show up to school board meetings well-informed about the curricula, the attitudes of the teachers who were presenting that curricula, and the misrepresentation that elected members of school boards were giving to the public. Demanding accountability and putting forward a clear picture of what is actually happening in the schools is a perfect example of how this anger can be channelled to constructive places."
