Invitation: Conference Call on Why Western Civilization Matters

National Association of Scholars

Join NAS next Wednesday, November 14, at 3:00 PM Eastern, as NAS President Peter Wood leads a discussion of the importance of Western civilization, and what can be done to encourage its appreciation.

NAS believes that all who care about the life of the mind should study the history of Western civilization, its achievements and failures, and its artistic and cultural legacy. State and federal policy should encourage K-12 and college students to study the West, including how its ideals of liberty underpin the structure of our republic.

On Wednesday, we will release a list of suggested ways that individuals can study and pass on their love for the great works of Western civilization—as well as legislative proposals to encourage the teaching of Western civilization.
