Why the Education Department's "gainful employment" rule is futile

George Leef

Much has been said about the recently proposed "gainful employment" rule by the Department of Education. In my latest Forbes piece, I put in my two cents, arguing that the rule is just the typical sort of bureaucratic tinkering that solves no problem while creating new ones. We're only seeing this rule because a) the Obama regime is loaded with people who dislike business for profit, and b) because the administration's economic policies have made steady jobs for recent graduates so scarce.
