The Ugly Politicization of the University of California

George Leef

In this week's Pope Center Clarion Call, Jay Schalin writes about the recent, devastating NAS report on the politicization of the University of California system.

As Jay points out, the report is extraordinarily thorough, presenting enough evidence to convince any objective reader that, much to the detriment of students and citizens of the state, the University is now saturated with politics: slanted courses, professors who think their job is to create young activists, events the purport to be educational but are really political rallies, and administrators who see nothing amiss.

It will be fascinating to see how the Board of Regents reacts.
