Will Fitzhugh, the indefatigable editor of The Concord Review and gimlet-eyed observer of the educational delicts perpetrated by American public schools, has composed one of the most succinct analyses of the situation that we have yet come across. It is in the form of a “dimaryp,” which of course is pyramid spelled backwards, to evoke the upside down character of the system. Mr. Fitzhugh says he welcomes other additions to the genre—as do we.
