Rise Up, UNC Alumni

The University of North Carolina has been much in the news lately, and not for reasons that should make Tar Heels proud. In today's Pope Center Clarion Call, a distinguished alum, Arch Allen, who earned both his bachelor's and law degrees at Chapel Hill, calls upon alumni to insist on action over the report the Pope Center issued last year showing the weakness in the university's general education requirements. He is especially bothered that the head of the UNC alumni association seems content to keep the association a lapdog for the university administration.
