"Residence Life" Resurrected

George Leef

A few years ago, the University of Delaware had to back away from its overtly politicized “Residence Life” program, but the bad publicity Delaware received has not stopped the people who want to use college as a means of turning students into zealots for progressive causes. In this week’s Pope Center Clarion Call, Jay Schalin writes about a program at the University of North Carolina that combines living in a specific dorm with two courses in anthropology that reek of indoctrination, and “service learning” obligations.

As Peter Wood has often said, anthropology has been hijacked by the left and now serves as a platform for grievance mongering rather than an objective field of study. This UNC program reinforces his point. Read through some of the materials the students have to digest (Jay includes a lot) and you’ll see what’s going on.
