Pope Center Plugs NAS 100 Great Ideas

Glenn Ricketts

Check out this piece by Jay Schalin over at the Pope Center, where he discusses our recently published list of One Hundred Great Ideas for Higher Education

Jay is generally very enthusiastic, although he does hesitate momentarily at Chester Finn’s suggestion that today’s college students “be fed the equivalent of saltpeter,” as an antidote to their surging libidinal impulses.  If I recall, a 19th century clergyman named Graham invented some crackers that were intended to produce the same effect.  On that subject, here’s another idea that I think just might work:  separate dormitories for boys and girls with stricter visitation policies.

Anyway,  99 out of 100 isn’t bad.
