Pets in Dorms...No Comment

Glenn Ricketts

Dormitories certainly aren’t what they used to be: increasingly, they resemble five-star hotels. Indeed, many now come equipped with all kinds of amenities, including sauna baths, weight rooms, whirlpools, kitchens, private baths in each room – all the comforts of home, only better. Now, as we learn from this piece in the New York Times, a number of schools are accommodating their student residents even more, and will be allowing pets in selected dorms as well This should add an interesting new dimension to the difficult chore of divvying up room assignments.   We’ll stay with the story, since there may be statement from campus Sustainability officials in the works.
