Opposing Common Core, State by State

National Association of Scholars

The following is a list of Facebook pages, by state, for parents and citizens who are opposed to the Common Core State Standards for K-12 education. NAS takes an interest in the Common Core, which purports to make students "college ready." In fall 2014, NAS president Peter Wood and Manhattan Institute senior fellow Sol Stern published a joint book, Common Core, Yea and Nay. Dr. Wood argues the "nay" side and has debated Mr. Stern several times, including at St. Francis College.

We post the list below, as it may be of interest to NAS readers on both sides of the Common Core issue, but we encourage further debate on it, and welcome a list that would serve as this one's counterpart for those who are pro-Common Core.
