NAS Co-Hosts Event Featuring Carly Fiorina

National Association of Scholars

Last week the National Association of Scholars co-hosted Carly Fiorina at a private event for business leaders and CEOs, including several NAS members and donors. Ms. Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard and 2016 presidential candidate, spoke on principles of leadership. Herb London, the chairman of the NAS board, introduced her.

As an undergraduate, Ms. Fiorina majored in philosophy and medieval history at Stanford University. NAS recognizes that the liberal arts serve a dual purpose: they are both ends in themselves, and excellent preparation for successful careers. We thank Ms. Fiorina for partnering with NAS to advance our efforts to uphold the standards of a liberal arts education that fosters intellectual freedom, searches for the truth, and promotes virtuous citizenship.
