Introducing Ian Oxnevad, Program Research Associate

Peter Wood

I’m pleased to introduce a new member to the National Association of Scholars staff, Dr. Ian Oxnevad, who joined NAS as our Program Research Associate and to spearhead work on the BDS movement.

Ian holds a PhD in political science from the University of California and holds a MA in National Security Studies along with degrees in Arabic and English. He has taught at multiple levels of higher education, and has specialties in issues of economic warfare, counterterrorism, and Middle East politics. He is widely published in these subjects and has consulted for the private sector on these issues. In his spare time, he is an equestrian and is pursuing a second doctorate in theology.

Dr. Oxnevad is unique and valuable to NAS, both for his investigative research skills and disciplinary background as well as his multifaceted and nuanced knowledge of political affairs. As an astute solver of puzzles and conductor of analysis, he will enable NAS to better conduct its work.

He said:

“The NAS is one of the only sources of support for professors and students committed to traditional civics and the classic educational goal of pursuing truth. The NAS is a rare gem in that it understands the scandalous current state of higher education and the multiple problems in the industry. Contrary to many commentators, the NAS understands the problem from within and without. Joining the NAS is a bright opportunity."

Please join me in welcoming Ian to the NAS staff.
