Harry Clor, 1929-2018

Glenn Ricketts

We recently learned of the passing last August of long-time NAS member Harry Clor, distinguished professor of political philosophy at Kenyon College and stalwart exemplar of the classical liberal tradition in American higher education.  Harry joined NAS early on, and remained a member in good standing until his death at 89 last summer.  His many accomplishments as a scholar, gentleman, and teacher are summed up in this tribute written by his Kenyon colleague and fellow NAS member Fred Baumann.   We extend our deep sympathies to Harry’s family, his many former students and colleagues. RIP.
