Community College Presidents and Compensation

Glenn Ricketts

According to this piece at Philly.Com, the president of Philadelphia Community College pulls down an annual salary of 274K per year.  Although that's slightly above median range for academic administrators in that particular cohort (some do a lot better), the article notes that the mayor of Philadelphia is compensated at $170,935 per year and the governor of Pennsylvania $174,900.

Well, I guess running a community college must be a lot more demanding and complicated than I thought it was.
