A New System for Rating Ed Schools

In today's Pope Center Clarion Call, Duke Cheston writes about the new system for rating education schools -- a joint effort of the National Council on Teacher Quality and U.S. News. The idea is to focus on pedagogical matters (such as how a school approaches reading instruction) that make a difference in a teacher's competence. Not surprisingly, some schools and states are saying that they won't cooperate.
